Fabric & "Beat The Heat"
Why is West Indies Wear different from other resort brands?
We only design with pure, breathable cotton fabrics.
Many resort brands use "cool-touch" synthetics (like rayon or polyester), which are essentially made of plastic. We believe wearing synthetics in the humidity is like wearing a plastic bag—it traps the heat and sweat. Our pure cotton fabrics allow for air to flow through and sweat to evaporate, so you stay cool and dry.

I struggle with hot flashes. Will these clothes help?
Yes, our "Beat the Heat" collections are designed specifically for women who overheat.
Whether it’s the tropical climate or personal summers (menopause), our clothes are designed to let heat escape. We use lightweight cottons and loose, generous cuts so fabric doesn't cling to your skin. Read more about why we choose cotton here.

Sizing & Fit
I have trouble finding clothes that fit my arms. How are your sleeves cut?
We design with deep, relaxed armholes.
We know that tight armholes are a major source of discomfort. Our tunics and dresses feature armholes that are cut lower than standard fashion brands to give you extra space and comfort without digging in.

What is your size range?
We carry sizes from XS to 3XL (Plus Size).
Our 3XL is equivalent to a size 28. Our fits are generous because we want you to feel relaxed, not restricted. If you are between sizes, we often recommend checking the specific measurements on the product page, but generally, you don't need to size up. See our full Size Guide here.
