This Cardi is a cute all-cotton medium weight cardigan designed in 3 great colors to match the prints in our dresses & tops.  Great for a little extra warmth after sunset or in the airco, or for those of us who like to cover the tops of our arms.  This is a cropped more fitted style, designed in natural fabric so you are not wearing synthetic clothing.

FABRIC & CARE

FABRIC : All of our fabrics are natural fabrics, either 100% pure cotton or 100% pure linen. We deliberately work with these fabrics as they are breathable and allow the air to flow through the fabrics, letting your skin breathe, allowing the sweat to evaporate and your body to self cool. This causes less skin irritations (thats why bandages are made of cotton) and you will be less susceptible to heat rashes. Wearing synthetic fabrics is like wearing a plastic bag, and because we are designed to be worn in the tropical heat, we highly recommend you steer clear of all synthetic fabrics (nylon, polyester, viscose rayon, modal etc)

SHRINKAGE : It is a common misconception that all cotton shrinks. For this reason, we ensure that all of our fabrics are pre-shrunk. So they should not shrink further. However all of the labels request that you HANG DRY - please DO NOT put our garments in the dryer. Luckily our fabrics are lightweight enough to dry easily when hung.

CARE : Gentle machine wash in cold or slightly warm water, with like colors. Hand wash if garment has tassels. Do not bleach. Do not soak. Hang Dry - DO NOT put in the dryer. Warm iron - DO NOT iron sequins, beads or trims.

IRONING : Not all cottons require extensive ironing. If you wash on a gentle cycle, take out of the machine as soon as it is finished. Hand flatten on your laundry bench, and then hang dry. Then the garment will require no ironing or minimal ironing, depending on your personal preference.

What is the Classic Cardigan made from?
The Classic Cardigan is made from 100% pure cotton jersey, offering a soft, breathable, and comfortable feel for everyday wear.

Will the cardigan shrink after washing?
No. The fabric has been pre-shrunk before cutting, so you can wash and wear it with confidence. Please do put it in the dryer though.

What is the fit like?
The Classic Cardigan features a cropped length, designed to sit flatteringly on the body and pair effortlessly with high-waisted pieces., without being too baggy.

How should I style it?
Its cropped silhouette makes it perfect for layering over dresses, tanks, or tees, or wearing buttoned up as a top.

What colors are available?
The cardigan comes in colors designed to perfectly match and complement our existing collection, so you can wear it with your existing West Indies collection.

Is it suitable for all seasons?
Yes. The breathable cotton fabric makes it ideal for layering in cooler weather or wearing on its own during milder days.

How do I care for it?
We recommend a gentle machine wash with like colors and laying flat to dry. Do not tumble dry, as heat can affect the shape and longevity of the garment.

Does it stretch over time?
As it’s made from pure cotton, it may relax slightly with wear, but it will retain its overall shape when cared for properly.

All prints and garments in this collection are designed by Kim Van Loo in Australia. Everything is then manufactured with our 4th Generation Indian clothing manufacturer in Delhi. We have worked with this family for 14 years. They are inspected and certified by the Indian government annually.
